Here at Richardson’s Traditional Bakery, we are always aiming to improve the accessibility standards of our shop website and keep it up to date and user friendly to make your experience with us as rich and enjoyable as our delicious baked goods!

Our website implements HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript technologies, and has passed the World Wide Web Consortium validation checks for both HTML and CSS. The alt attribute has been used for image descriptions, as well as ARIA-labels where necessary, for those using assistive technologies. The level of web accessibility that we currently provide is at a score of 98/100 from Siteimprove. We have also achieved a color contrast ratio score of 10.87:1 on WebAIM, passing the AAA criteria.

JavaScript has been minimally used for a more enriched user experience, but users do have the option to turn off JavaScript in their browsers without affecting any of the content. This allows the website to stay accessible regardless of device or system chosen by the user.
